The Brief that I received was to showcase the theme of art, originality and creativity, the most fundamental principles in the arts. Upon researching the background of NAFA, I decided to draw inspiration from the subtle eye symbol reflected in the school’s former logo created back during the founding days. The design concept comprised of two key elements: a repetition of the eyes that represent the student’s perspective on the arts and their living environment. We have the eyes for adventures, new discoveries and constantly challenging new boundaries, in seek of a breakthrough in our artistic journey. The use of colour red commemorates the milestone of Singapore’s oldest art education Institution, in which has come a long way since 1938.
